American Mustang

Rounded up and Branded by the Bureau of Land Management

Verified: Yes

*Sustained two injuries post adoption.
Per original adopter and vet records.

Red sustained an minor injury to his right front pastern when he became hung up in the corral panel, creating scar tissue.

Red then sustained a double fracture of his left hind coffin bone. He received the medical care and rehab to enable him to heal fully, per records.

We feel, as well as his current trainer, that he is fit for light work.  He will make a nice light trail horse. NO BARRELS< ROPING<TEAM PENNING<JUMPS, etc...

Red is currently doing 30 days with Geoff Goodson, of Geoff Goodson Horsemanship in East Hampton, CT.

He is being restarted under saddle to give him the optimal chance of finding his forever human.

We will put an additional 50-100 hours on him to ensure he is safe to be ridden if his bucking issues can be halted.

He will be offered up for adoption once we feel his chances of success are in his favor.

If you are interested in Red, please contact us.

Sponsorships are generally the easiest way to help a horse achieve their goals, especially if you cannot adopt.

***Geoff has so graciously offered to keep Red for 30 days and we only have to pay for 1/2 and provide his hay.  We don't think it is fair to keep him their any longer if we cannot afford to pay for it, so donations would be a wonderful added incentive to help us keep him there if progress in stopping the buck cannot be reached in a 30 day period.
